Announcement from Kehilat Haderech – Julie 2016

Dear Brothers and Sisters in the Lord,

We pray this letter finds you well.

It has been a while since we released our last prayer-requests’ letter, which has been due to a severe technical problem we are still struggling with, which caused all our data to be deleted. Our “portal” drive has been down for the past 2 months and has been in a recovery lab ever since. We are praying for it to be fixed as we have no backup. Having explained that – prayers for the following items will be highly appreciated:
1. Terror is still very present in the land, and as it is every summer – rumors of wars are always brewing. Please pray for the safety of Israel, and for a spiritual awakening in the midst of this strained time.

2. Please remember our special situation with the hard-drive as mentioned above, so we can recover and obtain all of our lost data and continue our work.

3. We have been homeless since the 1st of June, and although we have seen many blessings during our “wandering period”, it has nevertheless been quite difficult for us, so please pray for our members, team, and leaders for endurance and for us all to draw nearer to God in this time. During our “wandering period” we meet twice a month at the “Harvest of Asher” congregation in Akko, once a month in 7 small groups in different homes, and once a month outdoors in one of our town’s parks. We are grateful to God for “Harvest of Asher” congregation and for all His blessings to us throughout this challenging period.

4. The landlord of our new rental building hasn’t finished his part of the construction yet, and things seem to be moving quite slowly. We are hoping to receive the keys within 6 weeks so we can start our own extensive constructions. A week ago we launched our tender for a contractor and are hoping to choose one over the next week or so. Please pray for us to have wisdom in making these choices and to find grace and favor in the eyes of the chosen contractor.

5. We still don’t have a quote from any of the contractors, but the estimation our architect gave us seems to be much higher than we expected. We would truly appreciate your prayers for sufficient provision to complete our building project.

6. M. a 69-year-old lady from our congregation, recovered from cancer last year but has just been diagnosed with a recurrence of metastatic cancer. She will be hospitalized later in the week for a full medical workup, and possibly a surgery. Would you join us in fervent prayers for her healing?

7. Yossi and Ronit’s son – Immanuel is now in charge of one of the National summer camps “The Potter’s wheel” organized by the Baptist convention in Israel. For this coming week our entire staff together with some other members who have volunteered – will join to help with all the logistics involved regarding the camp. Please pray for a fruitful, blessed and safe camp.

8. Please keep our Pastors in prayers. Please pray for their health, well-being as well as for their families.
We thank you for your ongoing love and support.

Here is a recent picture of our new building (only the ground floor is ours).
